Corey Duhon began his real estate career as an intern at Shafer Property Company, working his way up from intern to property manager to leasing agent to President of Leasing, and eventually becoming an operating partner in several shopping centers. At Shafer, he learned how to lease shopping centers from Steve Shafer, one of the best leasing professionals in Texas for the past 40 years. Before leaving Shafer, Duhon worked on over 30 real estate projects from the ground up. In 2006, he was instrumental in selling three of Shafer Property Company's core assets including Knox Park Village, Uptown Plaza, and Shafer Plaza in Frisco.
After spending over 10 years at Shafer Property Company, Duhon founded DuWest Realty. While having successfully completed over 1,000 real estate transactions in his career, Corey continues to have a strong passion for project leasing and creating value in real estate. Leasing and managing property for clients such as ShopCore, Crow Holdings, among several others continues to be the core of DuWest Realty. The company currently has over 4,000,000 square feet of retail shopping centers under leasing and management, mostly in Texas. Duhon also developed the “Lead to Lease” program at DuWest Realty, and he and other professionals at DuWest implement those strategies every day. Mr. Duhon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He is a member of ICSC and the Southern Methodist University Real Estate Society.
